general DESCRIPTION The ZL4000 is a highly integrated RFIC for wireless communication in the 50MHz-3GHz frequency range. It is software programmable for a broad range of Transceiver applications. Channel bandwidths (BW) from 200kHz to 60 MHz can be supported.
The ZL4000 includes wideband RF front-end, flexible mixed-signal baseband, frequency synthesizers, ADC/DAC, digital processing and filtering, and a digital interface to baseband processor.
The Receiver (RX) can be configured between direct conversion receiver for wide BW standards and low-IF receiver for narrow BW standards. It includes wideband low-noise Amplifier, Mixer, LO, Low-pass Filter (LPF), ADC, Fast AGC, RSSI, DC offset correction, and IQ mismatch correction.
The transmitter (TX) is a direct conversion Transmitter. It includes wideband power Amplifier driver, RF power Detector, Mixer, LO, Low-pass Filter, and DAC. For TDD operation, the Receiver is used for Digital Pre-distortion feedback path.
The integrated phase lock loop (PLL) is a fractional-N Synthesizer. All VCO and loop filter are integrated on chip.
On-chip digital processing and filtering eliminates these functions in the baseband processor.
The ZL4000 can be directly connected to battery. It is controlled via a standard 4-wire serial port. It is packaged in a 10mmx10mm,144ball standard CSP_BGA144. |
